Plexiprint Solvent-Based Inks

Overview

Modified acrylic inks that are formulated to offer good printability and adhesion on a variety of film substrates. They are particularly well-suited for poultry shrink wrap*. They are available in base colors or shaded to specific color copy.

Plexiprint inks are designed for vinyl, acrylic, polyester, and Cryovac® films and can be applied by both flexographic and gravure process. They may be use with natural or Buna N plates. Can be used for photopolymer plates with the use of 15% or less of esters in total reduction.

Proper Handling and Storage

Plexiprint coatings have a six month shelf life in a closed container, when stored between 50-90° F.

These products should be mixed before each use.

Slow drying time with propylene glycol ethers.

Not for high heat resistance applications.

*NOTE: Multiprint overprint varnish required to prevent blocking with shrink overwraps.
